For the month of November I am honoring the Kollectiv Art and Design Group.  I was just notified last night that the Kollectiv will be closing its doors effective Tuesday November 11, 2008. 

The Kollectiv Art and Design Group opened about a year ago in downtown Phoenix.  It is a first class gallery specializing in promoting contemporary art primarily by local artists. 

I had the honor to be the last solo show shown at this gallery.  In October, I had my first solo show after about 30 years of being an artist(I have been drawing since I was born), and four years of determination to make and promote my work in Phoenix.

Kristine Remmers, the owner of the Kollectiv, hopes to re-open her doors in Scottsdale within a year.

The Phoenix arts community is losing a gem.  When is the city going to wake up to the fact that pretty much an arts revolution has gone on downtown, and, well, you the community are missing it, or in typical fashion... don't care.  All I can say is that I feel sorry for the community and  that they can't recognize all of the great work and talent that exists here.

I can barely take it.

Thank you Kristine Remmers for a great year, and doing what you could with my work.  I didn't expect anything, and I got everything.  Thanks so much.
